"The Manager of Champions"
Scrappy McGowan debuted in
the IWF as a referee, behind head ref Skippy Jackson. From the start, Scrappy
was bit with the jealousy bug. Skippy was the head ref and seemed to be always
booked to referee the big matches that the IWF had to offer. Scrappy felt the
tension to do something about this and he surely did.
In June of 2004, the IWF
World Heavyweight Title was on the line as Phantom Lord Spiro defended the title against Psycho Simpson. And of course the referee elected to officiate the match was Head Ref Skippy Jackson, much to the chagrin
of Scrappy. Scrappy had seen enough and took matters into his own hands and thus
interfered in the match when Skippy went down. But the agenda the Scrappy had
was clear; he was there to ruin the outcome of the already great title match. As
Skippy came to, he saw what Scrappy was doing and proceeded to send the man from Las Vegas to the outside and continue to officiate the match. And then the feud began.
Scrappy and Skippy
went one on one at the next IWF event and Scrappy lost in a two out of three falls match but it wasn’t until after the
match that we saw Scrappy’s true colors. He seemingly aligned himself with
one of the roughest and toughest and arguably the strongest stable that the International Wrestling Federation in the form
of Jacob Ladder, The Colonel and Frankie Pain. He is now the manager for three
of the toughest wrestlers the IWF has ever seen and will take on all comers that try to pick a fight with him, knowing full
well he has the muscle to back him up.
